The Metropole Hotel has announced its Cork Jazz Festival musical lineup across several stages in the hotel.

The original home of the Cork Jazz Festival will welcome firm favourites and new additions from Friday, October 25 to Monday, October 28.

Fans of swing, funk, groove, and blues will be able to see a mix of Irish and international acts.

“The Metropole Hotel is the perfect location for the Jazz Festival, with five stages set up in the hotel, including our newly renovated ballroom,” Pierce Lowney, who is the director of food and beverage at Trigon Hotels, said.

Exciting

“We have a really exciting lineup of live performances this year, catering for all ages.”

The line-up includes the New York Brass Band, The Swing Bandits featuring The Loungeman, Harry Connolly, Pixie and The Gypsies, Fiona Kennedy, Hugh Buckley Trio, MTU Gospel Choir and Le Hot Club Quintet.

Live performances will start at 1.30pm and continue until the early hours and ticket holders can move around the hotel, from stage to stage.

There are dining options at the hotel’s Riverview Restaurant, accompanied by live music performances and access to the Jazz Festival Club.

“Our ‘Jazz Dining Experience’ packages mean that people can come and soak up the atmosphere during the day, before sitting down to a delicious meal prepared by our team of chefs and then continue to dance the night away,” Mr Lowney said.

The hotel is also offering one-, two-, and three-night packages, including B&B, cocktail on arrival, dinner, and entrance to the Jazz Festival Club.

The Metropole has advised that its Festival Club is strictly an over-23s venue.
