'After Dark' returns to Cork's Spike Island in time for the spooky season

Renowned mentalist and escape artist Dean Jacob will lead the Spike Island 'Sinister' After Dark tours this October.

Spike Island’s popular After Dark tours have returned, just in time for spooky season.

Visitors are invited to discover the spine-chilling side of Cork’s prison island through a guided tour that will allow people to gain access to areas of the island that are normally strictly off-limits, including the underground tunnels once used for solitary confinement.

Spike Island will be taking the tours to new levels this year as they welcome mentalist and escape artist Dean Jacob for the ‘Sinister’ After Dark tours which also include a live interactive show featuring illusions and eerie encounters.

The After Dark tours will take place every Friday and Saturday night throughout October and will extend to a four-night run across the week leading up to Halloween.

Spike Island has warned that the After Dark tours are not the average Halloween event and are a night of “pure, unbridled fear”.

After Dark tours are always a sellout success, so booking as early as possible through https://www.spikeislandcork.ie/ is advised.
