A Cork EuroMillions player is over €250,000 richer after purchasing a winning Quick Pick ticket at the Gala store and post office in Innishannon.

The midweek player matched five numbers and one lucky star to scoop €262,554.

The winning numbers in the Tuesday, September 3 draw were: 07, 09, 11, 16, 45 and Lucky Stars 02, 05.

The owner of the Gala store in Innishannon, where the winning ticket was bought on the day of the draw, said he was delighted to hear that one of his customers had won big in the Tuesday night draw.

"We have certainly been a lucky shop over the years between big Lotto wins and different prizes on scratch cards too so this is a great phone call to be receiving,” Michael O’Murchu said.

We have a lot of passing trade with commuters going by every day and of course our locals in the community so the winner really could be anywhere.

"Let’s hope they check their ticket soon and realise just how much it’s worth. We wish the winner all the very best with their huge win.”
