Planned flushing commenced yesterday at Douglas Road and surrounding areas; South Douglas Road and surrounding areas; Blarney Street, Cathedral Road; Gurranabraher and surrounding areas; Glenthorne and Delaney Park.
The water utility company said flushing works will continue today on Boreenmanna Road and all surrounding estates; Greenmount; Bandon Road; McCurtain Villas; Rathmore Road and all surrounding areas.
It said its dedicated taskforce committed to tackling discolouration issues in the city "continue to closely monitor instances of discoloration and monitoring has shown increased levels". "Additional sampling has commenced, and we are liaising with the HSE," Uisce Éireann said.
People are reminded not to drink discoloured water and in the event of discolouration to run the tap for up to 20 minutes.
