Bus Éireann has announced a limited-time signing bonus in Cork to join the company.

As part of an ongoing recruitment drive, they are offering a €2,000 bonus to all D licence drivers who join Bus Éireann’s Cork team before the end of September.

Jean O’Sullivan, chief people officer of Bus Éireann, said: “This incentive underscores Bus Éireann’s commitment to attracting qualified drivers to the transportation industry while meeting the growing demands for a reliable and efficient public transport system for the people of Cork.

“We are delighted to extend this opportunity to D licence drivers looking to make a meaningful change in their careers.”

The offer is available exclusively to drivers who hold a full, valid D driving license, and eligible candidates must complete the required training and commence employment with Bus Éireann, in Cork, by September 30, 2024.

New drivers will be offered continuous professional development and training programs, flexible working hours to support a balanced lifestyle and opportunities for advancement within Bus Éireann.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online on Bus Éireann’s careers portal careers.buseireann.ie.

The company has also invited any interested D licence holders to attend their upcoming driver open days which continue this Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 at Rochestown Park Hotel, Douglas, Cork and which will run from 10am - 8pm each day.
