Paris Olympics: Cork's Shane Sweetnam goes for gold this morning

Cork’s own Shane Sweetnam secured himself a spot in today’s individual showjumping final at the Paris Olympics, further flying the flag for Leesiders at the Games.

With day 11 due to get underway any minute, there are several other Irish athletes appearing on today's ballot to watch out for, including the daughter of Cork’s famed track and field athlete, Sonia O’Sullivan.

Here’s the list of what’s on today:

EQUESTRIAN 

9.00am Individual Showjumping Final: Shane Sweetnam (CORK) and Daniel Coyle (DERRY).

DIVING 

9.00am Men’s 3m Springboard Preliminary: Jake Passmore (DUBLIN).

ATHLETICS 

9.05am Women’s 1500m Round 1: Sarah Healy (DUBLIN), Sophie O’Sullivan (CORK).

10.20am Women’s 400m Repechage: Sharlene Mawdsley (TIPPERARY) and Sophie Becker (WEXFORD).

CYCLING
