The Kinsale and District Lions Club have announced the appointment of Cormac Fitzgerald as its new president.

With a strong commitment to community service and a passion for making a positive impact, Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) and businessman, Mr Fitzgerald, will lead the club in its mission to serve Kinsale and its surrounding areas.

As a longstanding member of the Lions Club, Mr Fitzgerald brings a wealth of leadership experience to this role, having previously served as president of CPA Ireland, and Managing Partner of Fitzgerald & Partners Accounting firm.

In accepting his position, Mr Fitzgerald thanked the outgoing president, Alice De La Cour, and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve in this new role.

He emphasised his commitment to upholding the club’s values of compassion, integrity, and service, and his dedication to continuing the club’s tradition of making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
