Road reopens on busy Cork route following multiple car collision

Update: The Jack Lynch Tunnel Southbound has been cleared following a multiple vehicle collision earlier this evening.

The right-hand lane of the tunnel was closed earlier as a result of the collision but has now been reopened and traffic is flowing.

Emergency services, including fire crews from Ballyvolane and Anglesea Street, attended the scene.

Fire crews from Ballyvolane and Anglesea Street are currently dealing with a multiple car road traffic collision.

The collision occurred in the Jack Lynch Tunnel Southbound.

The right hand lane is closed as a result.

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area.

According to Dunkettle live, the current travel time between M8 J18 Glanmire North and N40 J6 Kinsale Rd is 19 minutes.
