Cork's 'kind and thoughtful' Pamela named Ireland's CAREgiver of the Year

A CORK woman has been awarded the title of National CAREGiver of the Year at the Home Instead’s annual recognition awards ceremony.

Nominated by the team at Home Instead Cork South — Pamela Cunningham, who joined Home Instead three and a half years ago, first earned the title of Munster CAREGiver of the Year before going on to win the overall national award.

This accolade is a testament to the exceptional work performed by Home Instead CAREGivers across the country.

Managing director of Home Instead Cork South, Deirdre Murray, said: “When we reached out to clients to speak about Pamela, we received a number of heartfelt testimonials that singled out her kindness, compassion and empathy.

Kind and thoughtful 

“Pamela is not only a wonderful CAREGiver but an exceptionally kind and thoughtful person.

“Feedback from families is always positive with Pamela becoming a member of the family instantly. We often receive requests directly from clients for Pamela to be on their schedule as much as possible.”

Judge and chief people officer of the Horizon Group, Amanda Spencer said: “Pamela has made an incredible difference not only in her clients lives but also their families.

“The glowing testimonials are testament to that.”

Chief Executive Officer of Home Instead Ireland, Shane Jennings, said: “I commend Pamela for her compassion, kindness, and work ethic.
