Cork man pleads guilty in child abuse image case

A 35-YEAR-OLD Cork man has signed a plea of guilty to a charge of having child pornography at his home, back in 2019.

Paul Donnelly, of St Mary’s Avenue, Dillon’s Cross, Cork, signed a plea of guilty to having a total of 64 images of child sexual abuse on July 21, 2019.

On the application of Sergeant Aisling Murphy, Judge Mary Dorgan sent the case forward from Cork District Court for sentencing at Cork Circuit Criminal Court in the sessions commencing on April 8.

The accused man was represented in court by defence solicitor Killian McCarthy.
