Emergency services responding to fire in Cork city 

At least three Cork City Fire Service pumps are on the scene at Murphy’s Auto Services.

Emergency services are working to extinguish a fire at a commercial premises on the Tramore Road in Cork city this evening.

Five units of Cork City Fire Service were responding to the incident at one point and firefighters, using breathing apparatus, were deployed. 

A spokesperson for Cork City Fire Brigade told The Echo that the fire has now been brought under control. 

The spokesperson thanked an individual from a neighbouring property who's speedy response had alerted emergency services and potentially prevented a more serious incident. 

Members of the fire service remain at the scene. 

No one is reported to have been injured in the incident.
