Cork firm donates to three deserving charities this Christmas

Cork-based business consultancy firm 3SIXTY has made a charitable donation to three well-known charities in Cork.
Brian O’Brien of 3SIXTY said that the idea to donate to local organisations on behalf of everyone on the 3SIXTY during the festive season was devised by one of his colleagues a number of years ago and has been popular ever since.
Speaking to The Echo, Mr O’Brien said that the same approach was taken this year whereby the team donated to the cause instead of exchanging gifts within the team.
An email was sent to everyone on the team with a shortlist of organisations and each team member voted for their number one choice.
This year, there was a three-way tie and the decision to split the donation equally among all three was made.
€6,000 in total was split between Cork Penny Dinners, Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, and Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland (AADI) who all received equal votes. Each organisation received €2,000.
On December 18, 3SIXTY met at Penny Dinners with representatives of the three organisations to present them with their donations.
Present on the day were Catriona Twomey of Penny Dinners; David McCarthy, Head of Fundraising at AADI; Gerri MacNamara, Puppy Fostering Volunteer (AADI) who brought Dodger the dog; John O’Leary of 3SIXTY and board member of Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation; Brian Cremin, Managing Partner of 3SIXTY; Brian O’Brien, Partner of 3SIXTY; and Paddy O'Brien, campaigner for the elderly and Brian O’Brien’s father.
