An orchard with nearly 150 types of apples growing in it and a farmer attempting to completely remove artificial fertiliser from his farm are two of the three stories on Ear to the Ground.

Two Cork stories are to feature in tomorrow night’s episode of Ear to the Ground, in the seventh episode of the popular show’s 31st season.

Presenter Ella McSweeney will be meeting a Cork farmer who is trying to completely remove artificial fertiliser from his land, who explains to her in the promo "the soil wasn't used to this, and there's a stage where the soil needs to acclimatise".

Maeve Dineen will be visiting an orchard in Cork with 148 different varieties of apples, while elsewhere in the county, Darragh McCullough will be at the Club Championships of Tug of War in Athlone.
