Kerry woman receives suspended sentence for having cannabis for sale or supply in Cork city

A young woman from Kerry was given a suspended jail term for having cannabis for sale or supply in Cork city.

Frank Buttimer, solicitor, said at Cork District Court the supply consisted of sharing the cannabis with friends.
She was caught with a quantity which had a street value of €1,120.
Garda Iain King stopped a black Mondeo with what appeared to have large number of people inside – over the capacity of the car. And there was a strong smell of cannabis.
Chloe Carter, 26, admitted responsibility for the drugs, and later pleaded guilty to the possession and supply charges.
Judge Olann Kelleher imposed a €500 fine and a four-month suspended sentence on her on those charges, respectively.
