Orange weather warning issued for Cork with heavy rain and localised flooding expected 

The weather alert is valid from 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) until 6pm on Friday.

Met Éireann has issued an orange severe weather alert for Cork, with heavy rain expected across the county.

In a statement, Met Éireann said: 

"From Thursday evening to Friday evening, persistent and heavy rain will lead to localised flooding, poor visibility and very difficult travelling conditions.

"In the afternoon, persistent rain will develop in the south and spread northwards through the evening, heavy at times, especially in Munster and Leinster with spot flooding possible," the forecaster added. 

The weather alert is valid from 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) until 6pm on Friday.
