Rita Ring, wife of Christy Ring passes away

Mrs Ring, of Avondale Park in Ballintemple, passed away peacefully at the Mercy University Hospital this afternoon.

Former Cork hurler Tomás Mulcahy paid tribute to Mrs Ring. "It is with great sadness to advise Rita Ring wife of the legendary Christy and mother of Christy and Mary passed away this afternoon."

"A lovely gentle woman that took it all in her stride," he said.
