Young Offenders crew descend on Cork city as filming gets underway

Two of Cork’s favourite characters arrived on the northside today as filming for the Young Offenders continued.

The cast and crew of the famous TV show has been filming around Cork for the past week or so and today, arrived in the Hawthorn Mews estate in the Northside of the city to begin filming again.

The show, which stars Chris Walley as Jock O’Keeffe, Alex Murphy as Conor McSweeney and PJ Gallagher as the boys’ principal, is set to enter its second season.

The Young Offenders movie, released in 2016, was a huge hit in Ireland and further afield.

The TV show organisers were recently calling on Corkonians and others to send in audition tapes or apply to be extras for their chance to join Conor and Jock on the show.

With filming ongoing, fans of the show will be waiting with bated breath to find out what happens to our favourite Cork boys in the next season.
