City Hall is looking for a new assistant Chief Executive

CITY Hall has advertised to fill the role of assistant chief executive with the successful applicant likely to earn almost €130,000 a year.

The job description outlines that the person hired for the role will report directly to chief executive Ann Doherty and have input into organisational structures and the delivery of services by the city council.

They will also work closely with councillors and provide policy support.

They will be initially responsible for leading and managing the operational pillar of the city council in the delivery of front-line services for the city council’s administrative area.

The salary scale for the job is set at €128,415 but the actual figure paid will be determined by the Department of Housing, Planning & Local Government.

Former director of planning Pat Ledwidge retired from his role and that of deputy chief executive in March. His role in planning was replaced by Fearghal Reidy who joined the local authority in a newly created position as director of strategic and economic development.

The closing date for applications for the assistant chief executive job is August 1 at 3pm.
