Macroom burglary suspect arrested and charged

A man has been arrested and charged in relation to a burglary in Macroom back in May.

The burglary occurred on New Street, Macroom on May 29.

Gardaí received a report of a burglary at around 4pm.

According to Gardaí a man entered the house through the backdoor and took a sum of cash.

Following an investigation, Macroom Gardaí arrested a man in his 30's yesterday.

He was detained at Macroom Garda Station under Section four of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged to appear before the courts at a later date.
