Chocolate heaven awaits at three-day chocolate event taking place in Cork this November
Cork International Hotel will play host to a three day chocolate festival at the end of November.

Chocolate enthusiasts have a treat in store with the Cork Baking and Chocolate Weekend taking place this month.

Experts in the field of chocolate from around the world will be descending on the Cork International Hotel at the end of November.

Events include the “Great Cork Bake Off”, judged by renowned chef, Paul Kelly, Executive Pastry Chef of the Merrion Hotel and Judge of the Great Irish Bake Off.

As part of the weekend there will also be workshops such as Beer and Chocolate Pairing; Wine and Chocolate Pairing; a Cocktail Making Masterclass and Sourdough Made Easy.

For cake fans, there will be classes on ‘How to Make an Amazing Christmas Cake; Painting on Cakes and Icing Cakes.’ 

Over the weekend there will also be a children’s area with lots of activities to keep younger chocolate lovers entertained with cookie decorating, baking, storytelling and face painting.

The three-day event will showcase cake making experts and chocolatiers who have won major global honours in the industry, including gold medallists in world-ranked events in the US.

There are some very exciting additions to this year’s festival such as Sparkling Afternoon Tea with complimentary admission to the exhibitor area on Saturday 23rd November.

The afternoon tea will be prepared by the Executive Head Chef, Martin O' Mahony and there will also be a special appearance by Mr Kelly.

Other events over the weekend include a Q&A with one of the World's best known award-winning chocolatier and patissier, William Curley. 

The Cork Chocolate Dinner will see a cocoa-themed dinner served to guests in what was a sell-out event last year.

Events takes place from Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24, admission to the event is €5 for adults, with children free.
