UPDATE (9AM THURSDAY): Paul Cronin, 18 years, who was missing from his home in Douglas, Cork has been located safe and well late, Gardaí have confirmed.

A statement said: "An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter. No further action is required."

EARLIER: Gardaí in Togher are seeking assistance from the public in locating 18-year-old Paul Cronin, who went missing from his home in Douglas this morning, Wednesday.

Paul is described as being approximately 5ft 10 inches in height, thin build, blonde hair and green eyes. 

When last seen he was wearing a black woolly hat, black coat, black pants, black runners and he wears a nose ring coloured black.

Gardaí and Paul's family are concerned for his welfare.

Anyone who may have seen Paul or has information on his whereabouts are asked to contact Togher Garda Station on 021 4947120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
