Roy Keane pops into his old school for Christmas

Football legend Roy Keane stopped into his old primary school Mayfield Community School to offer some season’s greetings to the hardworking students.

Roy, who studied at Mayfield Community School some years ago, returned to the corridors to wish the staff and students a Happy Christmas.

The 48-year-old pundit, used to play soccer for Ireland and Manchester United, before going on to coach and manage a number of clubs including being assistant manager to the National squad with Martin O’Neill in 2013.

Keano, who is also an ambassador for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, received a very warm welcome at his old school and posed for pics with a number of students while there.
Roy also recently made a cameo on the second series of The Young Offenders where Conor and Jock told the soccer star to ‘f*ck off’.
