Cobh road closed following crash

The Cobh road (R624) is currently closed following a collision close to the entrance of the Fota Wildlife Park.

Two units of the Fire Brigade are attending the two-car collision that occurred at the bad bend just beyond Fota Wildlife Park.

Cobh Fire Brigade and Midleton Fire Brigade attended the incident along with Gardaí.

Speaking to The Echo, a Garda source said that based on their information they did not think it was a serious crash and there were no serious injuries.
