€1k a month rent for student digs at events centre site

Cork’s latest student accommodation complex is set to open, with rent starting just shy of €1,000 a month and viewings available from this weekend.
Lee Point, on the Beamish & Crawford site, is a development managed by Uninest to house 420 students in 62 apartments.
The Uninest company is also behind Amnis House, the student accommodation which opened on Western Road, close to the gates of UCC last year. Amnis House is already full for the coming 2020/2021 year.
The complex features extensive facilities for residents such as an onsite gym, communal areas, games rooms and study rooms and the rent is inclusive of all bills. The complex also has a broadband speed of up to 100MB, with Wi-Fi as standard in all rooms.
“Open days are being held this weekend for students from Friday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm with no appointments required,” a spokesperson said, adding that there has been strong interest in the new development.
Students residing at Lee Point will also be able to avail of Uninest’s student wellbeing supports and services including regular classes and programmes on mental health, fitness, financial literacy and career advice.
