Young girl on bicycle injured in city centre collision

An eight year old girl was knocked off her bike this afternoon in Cork City.

Emergency services are en route to an incident which occurred on Cathedral Road.

Gardai said the young girl was knocked off her bike around 3pm, but there is not thought to be any major injuries incurred by anyone involved.

The young child was taken to Cork University Hospital as a precaution.

Ambulance and Gardaí attended the scene, but the road was not closed to traffic.
