38 people waiting for beds at Cork hospitals

At Cork University hospital, 28 admitted patients are waiting for beds while a further ten patients are waiting at the Mercy University Hospital.

More than a quarter of all admitted patients waiting for beds at hospitals around the country this morning are waiting at hospitals in Cork.

According to the latest Trolley Watch report from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), 129 admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals around the country this morning.

Of these patients, 121 are waiting in emergency departments, while eight are waiting in wards.

University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of patients waiting for beds with 37 people waiting there. 

The report shows 38 patients are waiting for beds at hospitals in Cork.

At Cork University hospital, 28 admitted patients are waiting for beds while a further ten patients are waiting at the Mercy University Hospital.

All of the patients in Cork are waiting in the hospitals’ emergency departments.

There are no admitted patients waiting for beds at Bantry General Hospital.
