Minister Coveney among four Cabinet Ministers restricting movements

Cork TD and Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney (FG) is among four Cabinet Ministers who are restricting their movements and working from home.

Minister Coveney returned from Brussels earlier this week following meetings and is restricting his movements in line with public health guidelines.

Meanwhile, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe and Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly are also restricting their movements.

The Tánaiste was reportedly informed earlier this week that he was a close contact of someone who had tested positive for Covid-19. He tested negative for the virus himself.

Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has worked from home for more than a week after he returned home from meetings in Berlin, and as such will be able to return to work later this week.

Meanwhile, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has been self-isolating after testing negative for Covid-19 last week after he felt unwell at a government briefing.
