Fallen trees lead to Cork traffic delays
Fallen trees are causing traffic delays in Cork this morning.

There are reports of fallen trees on the N28 road at top of Carrs Hill, which is causing serious traffic congestion for Cork commuters this morning.

This is causing traffic delays heading onto the Shannonpark Roundabout, which will cause further delays for people heading towards Ringaskiddy.

According to AA Roadwatch, "traffic is very heavy both ways on the N28 at Carrs Hill, where debris is causing an obstruction."

Gardaí are at the scene. Traffic is also very heavy on surrounding routes, as cars are trying to avoid the N28 delays.

There are the usual delays on approach routes to the Dunkettle Interchange, especially on the N40.

Traffic is heavy from Glanmire onto the Lower Glanmire Road towards Tivoli. Traffic is slow going outbound on this route also.

The crash at Forge Hill on the N27 has been cleared and the road has fully reopened.
