TV: Cork's Kyla Cobbler takes on daunting climb in Uncharted

Broadcaster Angela Scanlon teams up with comedian Kyla Cobbler to take a trip with Ray Goggins to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco on Uncharted With Ray Goggins.

Cork’s Kyla Cobbler has fast become a star of the comedy scene.

Now she is pushing herself to the limit in Uncharted With Ray Goggins on RTÉ1 on Wednesday at 9.35pm.

Fronted by adventurer and former special forces soldier Ray Goggins, the series takes well-known Irish faces out of their comfort zones and into some of the most remote and unforgiving environments on Earth.

Each week, Ray leads a new pairing on a physically and mentally demanding expedition designed to test their limits and ignite personal growth.

Kyla will team up with broadcaster Angela Scanlon in the third episode to tackle the towering High Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

What begins as an ambitious week of climbing quickly becomes a battle, not just with the terrain, but with Angela’s and Kyla’s shared deep fear of heights.

They camp under the stars and break bread with shepherds as the week builds to the final test, a daunting vertical climb to the top of the Zawiya Ahansal via ferrata.

In the final episode, the following week, singer Keith Duffy and actor Jay Duffy, embark on a demanding father-son expedition in Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountains.

Attempting to summit one of Africa’s highest and least climbed peaks at 5,109 metres, they face a gruelling seven-day ascent through bog, rainforest, and alpine terrain.
