TV sport round-up: Ladies football final... and Grand National too

Just a year after gaining promotion, Cork have made it to the final of the Ladies’ Football Division 1 League Final.

Their showdown against Galway is live on TG4 on Saturday at 5pm.

In a hectic sporting weekend, place your bets, horse racing fans, as the Aintree Grand National is on Saturday at 4pm, live on Virgin Media 1.

The final two rounds of the first golf major of the year - the U.S Masters - play out on Sky on Saturday and Sunday.

After a two-week break, the Premier League is back and league leaders Arsenal kick things off at home to Bournemouth on Saturday at 12.30pm, live on TNT Sports.

Brentford v Everton is on Premier Sports at 3pm that day, and Liverpool v Fulham is on Sky at 5.30pm.

There are three 2pm kick-offs on Sky on Sunday, including a crunch match at both ends of table between relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest and Champions League chasing Aston Villa.

Tottenham, who are also in the relegation mire, travel to Sunderland, and Crystal Palace host Newcastle United.

The 4.30pm kick-off on Sky on Sunday is Chelsea v Manchester City, and Manchester United v Leeds United is on the channel on Monday at 8pm.

The second legs of the Champions League quarter-finals take place next week - all live at 8pm on TNT Sports.

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona and Liverpool v PSG are on Tuesday, and Arsenal v Sporting and Bayern v Real Madrid are on Wednesday. The Arsenal game is on RTÉ2.

In rugby, the 2026 Women’s Six Nations Championship kicks off this weekend, with coverage of all games on RTÉ and Virgin Media.

The action begins on Saturday with France v Italy at 12.25pm on the RTÉ Player, followed by England v Ireland at 2.25pm on RTÉ2 and on the RTÉ Player.

The opening weekend closes out with Wales v Scotland at 4.40pm on Virgin Media Two.

There is also a women’s World Cup qualifier between Poland and Ireland live on RTÉ2 on Tuesday at 5pm.
