IN THE ZONE: Ronan Keating And Friends: New Year’s Eve Party is on BBC1 next week

From Patrick Kielty to Graham Norton to Ronan Keating...

There will no shortage of Irish fellas giving you a warm welcome if you decide to see in the new year from your TV armchair next Wednesday.

Kielty gets the party started in The Late Late New Year’s Eve Show on RTÉ1 at 10.25pm, leading a glittering night packed with music, laughter and special guests.

There will be performances by artists including David Gray, Lyra, Gavin James and Cliffords, alongside surprise collaborations by Sharon Shannon and others.

Special appearances from Irish heptathlete Kate O’Connor, comic-musician Garron Noone and cast members of The Traitors add to the celebration.

The festivities culminate with a live countdown from Dublin Castle, where Inhaler welcome 2026 alongside a live audience.

Or switch over to BBC1 to enjoy Ronan Keating And Friends: New Year’s Eve Party at 11.30pm. The Boyzone singer will be joined by a few special guests as he performs some of the band’s famous songs, along with his solo hits.

As the clock ticks down to midnight, the coverage will cut to London’s world-famous fireworks display to officially welcome the New Year. The party then continues as Ronan and friends keep the celebrations going well into 2026.

Earlier on BBC1, everyone’s favourite Corkman hosts The Graham Norton New Year’s Eve Show at 10.30pm.

He is joined by actor Tom Hiddleston, who is returning as spy Jonathan Pine in the second series of The Night Manager on New Year’s Day. Also appearing are Laura Dern and Will Arnett, starring together in comedy drama Is This Thing On?, inspired by the life of Liverpool comic John Bishop.

Owen Cooper, the young star of Adolescence, also joins the host, while Carey Mulligan and Tim Key discuss their parts in The Ballad of Wallis Island. Plus, Alison Limerick performs classic dance hit Where Love Lives.

For music fans, Jools’ Annual Hootenanny is on BBC2 at 11.30pm.

The host is joined by a strong line-up of guests for his annual Hootenanny. Ronnie Wood will perform tracks from his recent anthology Fearless, while Olivia Dean delivers hits from her latest album The Art Of Loving. Lulu has renditions of David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World and Relight My Fire, and Jessie J joins the host to perform a Frank Sinatra classic as well as Living My Best Life. There are also sets by Craig David, Heather Small, The Kooks, and Imelda May.
