It’s been eight years since Ireland last played a Women’s Rugby World Cup match, when they hosted the 2017 tournament.

aving missed out on the finals in 2021, Ireland have qualified for the 2025 edition being held in England, and make their bow in the tournament on Monday. Their opening pool game against Japan in Northampton is live on Sky on Monday at noon. All Cork eyes will be on Leeside duo Emily Lane and Enya Breen.

Meanwhile, the weekend’s Premier League action kicks off with Manchester City v Spurs on TNT Sports today at 12.30pm. Brentford v Aston Villa is on Premier Sports today at 3pm, and Arsenal v Leeds United is on Sky at 5.30pm.

Tomorrow, Everton v Brighton is on Sky at 2pm, with Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest on Sky Sports + at 2pm. The 4.30pm game features Fulham v Manchester United.

On Monday, Newcastle United v Liverpool is on Sky at 8pm, while on Friday, the channel has Aston Villa v Crystal Palace at 8pm.
