Manchán Magan in Listen To The Land Speak

Manchán Magan celebrates Samhain in Cork in the second and final episode of Listen To The Land Speak on RTÉ1 on Thursday at 10.10pm.

The series was filmed over four seasons.

It explores the profound knowledge and wisdom contained in our landscape and myths, and the way they have shaped the way we look at the world.

In Clonakilty, the presenter ponders the darkness of winter, but also the future and the light that always follows it.

Earlier, Magan sees the first rays of Summer Solstice at Lough Gur and contemplates the sacred oaks, wells and bogs of our landscape, but also his own cancer journey and how it is making him see these places in a new light.

He also meets archaeologist Robert Hensey and shaman John Paul Fischbach.
