The annual Service of Remembrance organised by the Cork Branch of the Western Front Association took place at The Peace Park War Memorial on the South Mall on November 11.

The event remembers the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Included among the guests were Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Fergal Dennehy, Cllr Declan Hurley, Mayor of the County of Cork and Mr Richard Andrews, Australian Ambassador to Ireland at the Remembrance Day service. Pic; Larry Cummins

Those attending the event on Saturday included veterans and their families along with Richard Andrews, Australian Ambassador to Ireland, the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Fergal Dennehy and Cllr Declan Hurley, Mayor of the County of Cork.
