Video and pictures: CUH launches new art collection

Cork University Hospital launched a new art collection on Thursday to coincide with their 40th-anniversary celebrations.
The new collection, on loan from Paul and Aileen Finucane, consists of 32 paintings, all of the view of the pier in Union Hall, West Cork.
The paintings were all painted by different artists and offer different perspectives of the same iconic view.

They are on display in the halls of the hospital.
The hospital boasts one of the largest public art collections in Ireland.

The collection can be viewed online at http://www.cuharts.com and is available as a free anniversary e-book.
CUH also launched a book celebrating its history written by local historian Alicia St Leger, to mark its 40th anniversary.

Dr St Leger spoke to staff past and present to compile the book which launched in CUH on Friday at 3pm.
The book will be on sale at the hospital.
