Deadline looms to enter Network Cork awards

APPLICATIONS are open for the Network Ireland Cork Businesswoman of the Year Awards. This annual event celebrates the achievements and contributions of outstanding female entrepreneurs and professionals across Cork.

The awards honour female professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and success in their respective fields. These awards are designed to recognise the individual accomplishments of these women and to inspire and empower women to pursue excellence in their businesses and careers.

The closing date for the awards is April 19.

Network Cork President Susana Marambio, urged businesswomen across Cork to join the vibrant Network Cork community and submit their application.

She said: “This is a call to all women in business: join Network Cork and apply for the Businesswoman of the Year Awards, where ambition, innovation, and hard work are celebrated. 

"With the support of LEO Cork City, South, North, and West through mentoring sessions, we offer you an opportunity to refine your application and enhance your chances. 

This is not just about winning; it’s an occasion to evaluate where you stand today and envision where you aim to be in the future.

The awards are divided into eight categories. Eligible candidates can apply for various categories including Established and Emerging Businesswoman, STEM and Employee awards.

Cathy Fitzgibbon, Vice President of Network Cork, will coordinate this year’s Businesswoman of the Year Awards. She said; “The Network Ireland Cork branch is full of talented and dedicated businesswomen, so we are here to champion and support our branch members as they step into the spotlight. In applying for these prestigious business awards, members get to seize the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments, inspire the next generation of trailblazers and contribute to the collective empowerment of women in business.”

Winners are chosen by a panel of business experts based on the information supplied in the application form and the successful applicants will be announced at the annual award ceremony, taking place on Thursday May 23 at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel .The judging panel are looking for women who understand business, who are passionate about their career and business, and who show a determination to succeed no matter what life throws at them. The winners of the awards will go forward to represent the Cork branch at national level at Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards later this year.
