St. Aloysius’ College, Carrigtwohill, is proud to be an all-girls secondary school, founded by the S.M.G Sisters under the Le Chéile Schools Trust. The school's mission is to provide more than just an education — but to provide a transformative journey that nurtures your daughter's potential in a supportive, encouraging, and challenging environment.

A well-rounded, holistic education

Choosing St. Aloysius’ College means choosing a school that aims to help every girl thrive academically, socially, and personally. Their approach fosters creativity, self-confidence, and new friendships while helping girls discover and develop their unique talents. The St. Aloysius' community is one where students are not just busy, but genuinely happy and successful. This is done through consistency in the encouragement and care provided within St. Al’s and the challenges set for their students to reach.

Proven academic excellence

Year after year, St. Al’s students consistently outperform national standards in the Leaving Cert Exams. Each year for the past five years, St. Al’s has proudly produced students who have achieved 625 CAO points with 40% of the school's students achieving over 500 points — well above the national average of 25% — and 73% achieving over 400 points, a track record that speaks for itself.

A culture of care and achievement

At St. Aloysius’ College, it's understood that academic success flourishes in an environment of care and high expectations. From the moment your daughter steps through the doors, she will be supported and encouraged to reach her maximum potential, both in her studies and equally as importantly, in her personal development. Every girl is cherished and guided on her journey to success. A key part of this is the relationships that students build with their teachers, one of mutual respect and trust.

Beyond academics: A world of opportunities

At St. Al’s, education extends far beyond the classroom. The school offers a range of extra- and co-curricular activities including music, sports, drama, dance, and more. There is even opportunity for students to get involved in activities after school five days a week and yet to still join supervised study.
