Celtic have put themselves in a commanding position in their Champions League qualifying play-off after a 3-0 win against Austrian champions Lask at Parkhead on Wednesday, 19th August.
Benjamin Nygren (in the 26th minute) and Camilo Duran (in the 38th minute) gave Celtic the lead at half-time. Duran scored his second goal in the 67th minute with an assist by Nygren to close out the game for Martin O'Neill's side.
Despite the 3-0 scoreline, the match was a tight affair with Lask having more shots on target (9 to Celtic's 7) and more attempts on goal (19 to Celtic's 15).
Lask had two goals ruled out for offside, and it was a busy night for the Celtic goalkeeper, who made an impressive nine saves to Lask's four.
The result leaves Celtic in a strong position heading into the second leg in Ried next Tuesday, needing to avoid a heavy defeat to secure passage into the Champions League.
