Mona McSharry claims bronze medal for Ireland in 50m breaststroke final

Mona McSharry has secured her third medal at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris.

The Sligo Olympian went under 30 seconds for the first time, claiming bronze in the 50 metres breaststroke in Paris.

Double gold medallist Ellen Walshe was also in action in the 200-metres butterfly final, where she finished fourth.

Tom Fannon was sixth in the men's 50-metres freestyle final.

The women's relay team have their medal race later on Sunday evening as well.
