Cork are into the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.

The Rebels edged out Donegal by 0-17 to 1-13 in their round 2A encounter in Ballybofey.

Donegal scored just six points in the second half and didn’t raise a single orange flag. Cork came with a methodical gameplan and executed it perfectly.

The first half was pedestrian. Donegal led 1-7 to 0-5 at the turnaround.

The goal came after a short kickout by Patrick Doyle found Daniel O’Mahony but he was turned over by ferocious tackling from Michael Murphy.

The big number 14 raced in on goal and selflessly squared to Conor O’Donnell for a simple finish.

It was 1-10 to 0-6 when Cork first hit back with a two-point free. Conor Corbett came on and scored with his first possession. A fisted effort off the post late on could have cost them but Donegal couldn’t take advantage.

Connacht champions Roscommon are out, following a 1-20 to 0-14 loss at Monaghan.

All-Ireland title holders Kerry lead Kildare by 1-20 to 0-12 with David Clifford hitting the net, while Derry and Meath are just getting underway.

Meanwhile, Down, Fermanagh, Offaly and Wicklow are the four teams awaiting Monday's semi-final draw for the Tailteann Cup.

2024 winners Down enjoyed a comfortable 2-23 to 0-16 victory over Laois in Portlaoise.

1-3 from Jack Bryant helped Offaly to overcome Wexford by 1-22 to 1-17.

Dean Healy scored the winning point for Wicklow in their comeback 2-19 to 3-15 win at Antrim.

Fermanagh were 2-24 to 0-7 winners over Sligo to punch their ticket for Croke Park next weekend.

Elsewhere, Galway, Kerry and holders Dublin are through to the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship.

Olivia Divilly scored 2-6 as Galway beat Tyrone by 4-20 to 2-7 to make it two wins from two.

Danielle O'Leary scored 1-3 as Kerry ran out 1-19 to 0-8 winners over Kildare in Newbridge.

Reigning champions Dublin eased to a 2-13 to 0-5 over Donegal, with Niamh Hetherton and Caoimhe O'Connor scoring their goals.
