Saturday sport: Tipperary to go against Clare for Munster hurling final spot

All-Ireland hurling champions Tipperary will bid to keep their hopes of making the Munster Championship final alive tonight.

The Premier take on Clare at Semple Stadium, with throw in at 7pm.

There is also a busy day in store in the Leinster Championship.

The top two meet in Salthill, with both Galway and Dublin unbeaten heading into their duel at Pearse Stadium from 4.30pm.

Two games get underway at 6pm.

Kilkenny are at home to winless Kildare, while Offaly are chasing their first win of the Championship as they welcome Wexford to Glenisk O'Connor Park.

Before that, the two counties also meet in Tullamore to kick off the All-Ireland Camogie Championship from 4pm.

The Munster Camogie Championship final is also down for decision this evening.

Tipperary take on Waterford at Semple Stadium, with a 4.45pm throw in in Thurles.

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Michael Carrick to become the club's permanent head coach.

The ex-United midfielder took the reins at Old Trafford following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim in January.

Since then, he has helped them secure Champions League football for next season, with 10 wins from 15 Premier League games.

It is scoreless between Celtic and league leaders Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title decider at Parkhead.

Hearts are looking to become the first side, other than Celtic or Rangers, to win the league since 1985.

Republic of Ireland defender Liam Scales starts at the back for the hosts this afternoon.

Manchester City will look to complete a domestic double this afternoon.

Last year's runners up face Chelsea in the FA Cup final, which is underway at Wembley from 3pm.

The Connacht derby is the one game down for decision in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division tonight.

Sligo Rovers can move ahead of 8th-placed Galway United with a win. They do battle at the Showgrounds from 7.45pm.

There is a full round of fixtures in the Women's Premier Division this afternoon.

League leaders Galway United go to Shelbourne, with kick-off at Tolka Park at 4pm.

While at 6pm, defending champions Athlone Town host Treaty United.

Mark English has claimed victory in the 800m, at the first Diamond League meeting of the season in Shanghai.

The Donegal runner clocked a season-best time of 1:43.85, winning by four-hundredths of a second.
