GAA preview: League finals take centre stage at Croke Park

It is a repeat of the 2025 All-Ireland final as Kerry take on Donegal in the Division One football final in the Allianz National Football League.

After a dramatic league campaign, Kerry and Donegal have shown they are still the teams to beat, and will be aiming to land an early marker on their rivals.

Kerry have included Paul Geaney in the matchday squad but are without Paudie Clifford, who was crucial to their win over Donegal in the All-Ireland final.

Donegal have huge tests to come in Ulster, and a final against Kerry in Croke Park is one of the best ways to prepare.

In Division Two, Meath and Cork did what they needed to do to get promoted, with a chance for silverware on Sunday a welcome bonus.

Two sides that have racked up huge scores in games this season, expect a high-scoring game in Croke Park.

In Division Three, Wexford's incredible start to the season continues as they have the chance to cause another shock when they play Down in Saturday's final.

027 will be the first time Wexford will be in the second tier of the football league since 2013.

Down qualified with a game to spare, and have ambitions on going far in the All-Ireland.

In Division Four, a crazy last day saw Carlow and Longford qualify for the final, as seven teams had a chance at promotion heading into the final round of games.

In Ladies' Football, it is the final round of games in the Lidl National League, with Cork and Galway already securing their place in the final.

All-Ireland champions face relegation if they do not defeat Cork, while they need results to go their way elsewhere.

Kildare are just above Dublin on five points, while Kerry and Meath could still go down on six points.

In Division Two, Cavan are already promoted, and will be joined by one of Donegal, Mayo, or Tipperary in the final.
