Galway forward Shane McGrath scored a late two-pointer as University of Galway defeated UCD 0-15 to 0-15 in the Sigerson Cup quarter-finals.

Three days on from his goal against Mayo, his late score helped the Galway side to the semi-finals.

In the other games, Queen's University defeated TU Dublin 3-16 to 2-16. Ryan Quillan scored 1-6 for Queen's, who were also helped with seven points from Ronan Cassidy.

UCC were 3-16to 1-18 winners over DCU.

In hurling, the University of Limerick are through to the semi-finals after overcoming UCC 0-20 to 0-11. Tipperary's Darragh McCarthy scored nine points for the Limerick college.

Mary Immaculate College will join their Limerick rivals in the last four after they defeated UCD 3-22 to 0-13.

Oisin O'Farrell scored 2-3 for Mary I.

University of Galway were 1-20 to 1-14 winners over SETU Waterford, while DCU defeated MTU Cork 4-13 to 2-15.
