GAA preview: What to know ahead of this weekend's action

It is a big weekend in the provincial championship in both football and hurling.

In football, Dublin champions Ballyboden St Enda's take on Wexford side Castletown Liam Mellows, in what is an open Leinster championship.

In Connacht, Mayo champions Ballina Stephenites face 2024 All-Ireland finalists St Brigid's of Roscommon.

After three Mayo titles in a row, Ballina will be aiming to make their mark in Connacht. The other semi-final is Galway champions Moycullen taking on Leitrim Gales.

In hurling, the All-Ireland winners could be in the Munster semi-finals. Ballygunner take on Sarsfields of Cork, while Clare's Éire Og Ennis face Loughmore-Castleiney.

Saturday November 15th

Leinster Senior Club Football Championship quarter-finals

Athy v Summerhill, Cedral St Conleth’s Park, RTÉ, 5.15 pm.

Munster Senior Club Football Championshipn quarter-finals

Clonmel Commercials v St Finbarr's, Clonmel Sportsfield, 1.15pm.

Ulster Senior Club Hurling Championship semi-final

St John’s v Setanta, Owenbeg, 6pm.

Sunday November 16th

Connacht Senior Football Championship quarter-finals

St Brigid’s v Ballina Stephenites, King & Moffatt Hyde Park, 1.30 pm.

Moycullen v Leitirm Gaels, Pearse Stadium, 1.30pm.

Munster Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals

Ballygunner v Sarsfields, Azzurri Walsh Park, TG4, 1.15pm.

Éire Óg, Ennis v Loughmore-Castleiney, Biomet Zimmer Páirc Chíosóg, deferred TG4. 1.15pm.

Leinster Senior Club Football Championship quarter-finals

Naomh Mairtínv Portarlington, Integral GAA Grounds, Drogheda, 1.30pm.

The Downs (Westmeath) v Tullamore (Offaly), TEG Cusack Park, 1.30 pm.

Castletown Liam Mellows v Ballyboden St Enda’s, Chadwicks Wexford Park, 1.30 pm.

Ulster Senior Hurling Club Championship

Portaferry v Slaughtneil, Box-It Athletic Grounds, 3.30 pm.
