Shamrock Rovers have won the FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium after a 2-0 victory over Cork City.

The Hoops have completed the double after clinching the League of Ireland title less than two weeks ago.

It is the team's first League and Cup double in 38 years.

Rory Gaffney scored twice to secure the victory in the 65th and 71st minutes of the game.

City played all of the second half with 10 men following the dismissal of Harry Nevin shortly before half-time.
