Leinster earned their first win of the season with a crushing 31-5 victory over Sharks at Aviva Stadium.

The hosting side opened the scoring in the 10th minute as Jamie Osborne latched onto James Lowe’s kick before he touched down.

Leinster then scored twice in five minutes to take a 21-point lead when Jimmy O’Brien and Josh van der Flier crossed the whitewash.

Sharks got themselves back in the contest with a try, nine minutes before the break, after Ethan Hooker collected a long pass out wide and ran over to cut the deficit.

Leinster restored their advantage nine minutes after the interval through Max Deegan, who secured their bonus point.

The home side sealed their first win as Gus McCarthy was quickest to react from a loose lineout and touched down for his first try for the club.
