Shamrock Rovers edge closer to Premier Division title

Shamrock Rovers edged closer to bagging the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division title on Friday evening.

Danny Mandriou scored the winner in the second half, for a 2-1 win over Bohemians at Tallaght Stadium.

They still have to wait to secure the title, though, as Derry City managed to pick up a 1-1 draw at Drogheda United.

Elsewhere, Galway United got a much-needed 2-1 win over Cork City at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Shelbourne also beat Waterford 2-1 at Tolka Park.

In the First Division, it finished Bray Wanderers 0, Longford Town 2; Cobh Ramblers 4, Finn Harps 1; Dundalk 3, UCD 2; Kerry 1, Treaty United 1; and Athlone Town 1, Wexford 2.
