Michael Conlan won the vacant WBC International Featherweight title with a fourth-round knockout win over Jack Bateson in the 3Arena.

Conlan had previously knocked down the English fighter in the third round with a lead right hook.

From that moment, it looked like a matter of when and how Conlan would win, as the Belfast boxer ended the fight with a backhand, flush, which Bateson could not recover from.

Conlan could not ask for much more in his first professional fight in Dublin, as he claimed his second win of 2025.

There will be several options for the 33-year-old, with a rematch against Leigh Wood potentially on the cards, along with a bout against former champion Josh Warrington.
