Athlone Town's European campaign will continue after a 2-0 win over Crvena Zvezda in the Netherlands.

The win puts them in third place of their Champions League second qualifying round group, earning them a place in tomorrow’s draw for the first qualifying round of the Europa Cup.

A goal in the 11th minute from Kelly Brady put the League of Ireland side ahead, and they doubled their lead in the second half through Roisin Molloy.

Athlone were able to see the game out, and will be in the draw for the first qualifying round of the inaugural Europa Cup.

Among the opponents they could face are Inter Milan, Ajax, PSV, and Glasgow City. The Scottish side have Irish internationals Emily Whelan and Erin McLaughlin.

They will play their opponents home and away, on September 10/11th and 17/18th.
