Ger Brennan has been appointed as the new manager of the senior Dublin football team.

Brennan replaces Dessie Farrell, who stepped down after being in charge since 2020.

The former Dublin footballer takes over after winning Louth the Leinster football championship, while also getting to two other finals in his time in charge.

As a player, Brennan won two All-Ireland titles, in 2011 and 2013.

Dublin County Board chairman Ken O’Sullivan has congratulated Ger on his appointment, saying:

“Ger has achieved the highest honours as a player with Dublin and he has our full support in leading the Dublin Senior Football panel in pursuit of further honours in the coming years.

“We wish Ger, his team and the panel the very best and look forward to the 2026 season”.

Ger’s management and backroom team will be announced in due course.
